UC Davis Health email breach exposes 1,326 patients' data

Health IT Security - (California; Colorado) The University of California Davis Health System notified 1,326 patients that their personal information may have been accessed after a provider's email was compromised by an unknown source September 26, resulting in potential impermissible access to the email account. The Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing notified 15,000 patients that the company inadvertently mailed postcards containing their protected health information as part of a Medicaid and Department of Human Services' Office of Behavioral Health survey.
