FDA publishes cybersecurity guidance for medical device manufacturers

Securityweek - (International) A set of recommended cybersecurity measures for medical device manufacturers was released October 2 by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration detailing the importance of authentication controls and detection of devices. The report also included guidance on the submission of plans for providing updates to operating systems and software, and the creation of a plan to help mitigate risks, among other recommendations.
