Data breach reported by the Vermont Department of Labor

Vermont Press Bureau - (Vermont) The Vermont Department of Labor released March 20 that a former employee intentionally obtained the names and Social Security numbers of at least 39 individuals from the department's unemployment database during regular work duties February 24. Authorities seized the employee's personal computer devices and copies of documents as part of an ongoing investigation and found Social Security numbers for an additional 41 individuals in the former worker's possession.
