Thousands of patients at 3 Bergen County hospitals notified personal info stolen in data breach

Bergen County Record - (New Jersey) The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, Englewood Hospital and Medical Center, and the Holy Name Medical Center in Teaneck, New Jersey notified thousands of patients May 21 that their personal information, including social security numbers, was stolen by a Medical Management LLC employee that handled billing for emergency department physicians at the Bergen County hospitals from February 2013 to March 2015. Hospitals in New York and Pennsylvania that have contracts with the North Carolina-based billing company were also affected by the breach.
