Records for 620 Mercy Medical cancer patients compromised

2014/12/22

KRCR 7 Redding - (California) Mercy Medical Center in Redding notified 620 Dignity Health Mercy Oncology Center cancer patients after the hospital discovered December 13 that the patients' personal information was publicly accessible on a third-party Web site after a physician's transcribed notes that were inadvertently linked to the site. The link was removed and technicians worked to eliminate any other cache pages or links could provide the information.
