AltaMed employee suspected of identity theft, company notifies clients

Softpedia - (California) AltaMed Medical Group informed an undisclosed number of patients of a personal information breach after learning from law enforcement that a former employee is under investigation following the June 30 discovery of a hard drive from the suspect's home. The company investigated and found that the former employee had accessed the details of patients at its Orange and Los Angeles locations.
