Former Subway franchise owner admits to POS hacking

IDG News Service - (California; Massachusetts; Wyoming) A former owner of several southern California Subway restaurants and operator of point-of-sale device company POS Doctor pleaded guilty May 14 to selling POS systems to at least 13 Subway stores, using remote login software on the devices to load value onto gift cards, and then selling the cards online. The scheme involved a second man who previously pleaded guilty, and sales of POS devices to Subway franchises in California, Massachusetts, and Wyoming.
