Data breach affects LECOM students

Erie Times-News - (Pennsylvania) Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) along with Hubbard-Bert Inc., a company that provides health insurance to LECOM students, reported that an unknown number of students' names and Social Security numbers were accidentally posted on the Internet in April and accessed by Google's search engine. Officials worked with Google to remove the names and numbers from their Web servers and are continuing to investigate the incident.
