Mozilla revokes trust for CNNIC certificates

Help Net Security - (International) A spokesperson at Mozilla announced that the company will no longer allow its products to recognize digital certificates issued by the China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC), following an incident during the week of March 23 in which an intermediate certificate authority (CA) operating under CNNIC issued a number of unauthorized digital certificates for Google domains. The company will also ask CNNIC to provide a list of current valid certificates to make public.
