Bitly says hackers breached offsite database backup

Softpedia - (International) Bitly enabled two-factor authentication for all its accounts on its hosted source code repository after learning hackers gained access to customer accounts from an offsite database backup storage, that was not initiated by the company, through a compromised employee account.
