XML-RPC abused in brute-force attacks against WordPress sites

Softpedia - (International) Sucuri researchers found new brute-force attacks delivered against WordPress Web sites leverage the XML-RPC protocol and the wp.getUersBlogs function have increased since July 4 with 2 million attempts originating from 17,000 different IP addresses.
