Hackers tricked AT&T, Network Solutions employees in Tesla attack

2015/04/27

Securityweek - (National) Tesla Motors reported that the company's official Web site and Twitter accounts were hacked over the weekend of April 25 via a domain name system (DNS) hijack attack that remains under investigation. Hackers supposedly social engineered employees of AT&T and Network Solutions by forwarding calls to an illegitimate phone number in order to gain administrator privileges to the company's domain administrator account.
