US gas stations exposed to cyberattacks

Securityweek - (National) Researchers with Kachoolie discovered a vulnerability with automatic tank gauges (ATGs) used to monitor fuel tanks, that could potentially allow malicious actors to shut down over 5,300 gas stations in the U.S. due to the device's easy accessibility through the Internet. Operators of the ATG systems can set up a password for the series interface, but the port often remains unprotected.
