Alabama Department of Public Health warns patient records may have been compromised

WBMA 58 Birmingham - (Alabama; Georgia) The Alabama Department of Public Health notified over 500 people that their identities may have been stolen from department records as part of a tax fraud scheme in which 10 people have already been indicted for allegedly using the stolen information to file over $20 million in fake tax returns in Alabama and Georgia.
