Ex-Secret Service agent pleads guilty in Silk Road case; he pocketed $820,000 in bitcoin

Los Angeles Times - (National) A former U.S. Secret Service agent pleaded guilty August 31 in San Francisco to using his position to steal over $820,000 worth of bitcoin digital currency from Silk Road online drug market accounts in 2013 by resetting passwords and PINS of various accounts, allowing him to fraudulently move and steal nearly 20,000 bitcoin.
