Cybercriminals abuse Amazon cloud to host Linux DDoS Trojans

Securityweek - (International) Kaspersky Lab reported that Amazon cloud services and other companies are being abused by cybercriminals to host distributed denial of service (DDoS) bots, including a sophisticated Linux trojan capable of conducting domain name system (DNS) amplification DDoS attacks. The attackers are able to access the servers by exploiting vulnerabilities in versions 1.1.x of Elasticsearch.
