UF gives details about malware attack

Gainesville Sun - (Florida) University of Florida officials informed users January 28 that a multi-stage malware that attacked several hundred university computers January 26 was distributed as a Windows ScreenSaver (SCR) that was executable inside a ZIP email attachment. Hundreds of faculty and staff computers were infected before the university was able to place network blocks the on multi-stage malware suite.
