Description

LSAC(v2)
Sendmail is a widely used Mail Transport Agent (MTA). MTAs deliver mail from one machine to another. Sendmail is not a client program, but rather a behind-the-scenes daemon that moves email over networks or the Internet to its final destination. This update fixes the following bug: * Previously, in the sendmail configuration it was impossible to disable SSLv3 which could be susceptible to POODLE-related security vulnerabilites. An upstream patch has been backported, adding a possibility to configure SSL parameters. As a result, it is now possible to disable SSLv3 in sendmail. (BZ#1157811) Users of sendmail are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which fix this bug.
